SessionWise is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. This Privacy Statement explains how SessionWise handles data and clarifies the scope and limits of the developer’s access to information when you use the application.

  1. Privacy-First, Local-Only Design

SessionWise operates entirely on your Mac computer. The application is built to function without cloud services, external servers, or remote data processing. All features, including transcription, dictation, and AI-assisted drafting, run locally on your device using on-device processing.


At no point does SessionWise transmit data off your computer.

  1. No Data Collection or Transmission

SessionWise does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal, clinical, or usage data.

Specifically:

  • No session content is sent to any server

  • No client information is uploaded or synced

  • No usage data, diagnostics, or metadata are collected

  • No analytics, telemetry, or tracking tools are used


All data remains fully local to your device and under your sole control.

  1. No Accounts, No Servers, No Tracking

SessionWise does not require user accounts, logins, or profiles. The application does not rely on backend infrastructure or third-party services.


As a result:

  • There are no SessionWise servers that store or process data

  • There is no user authentication system

  • There is no behavioral tracking or monitoring

  • There are no cookies, identifiers, or cross-session tracking mechanisms

  1. Local Storage and User Control

All notes, transcripts, recordings, summaries, and related information are stored locally on your Mac using local storage mechanisms. You retain full ownership and control of this data.


You are responsible for:

  • Managing access to your device

  • Creating backups if desired

  • Deleting or exporting data as needed


SessionWise does not assume custody, control, or responsibility for user data beyond providing local software functionality.

  1. No Developer Access to Data

The developer of SessionWise has no access to your data at any time.


Because the application does not communicate with external servers:

  • The developer cannot view, retrieve, or access your notes or recordings

  • The developer cannot monitor how the application is used

  • The developer cannot recover data if it is deleted or lost


All data remains exclusively on your device.

  1. Offline Operation

SessionWise is fully functional without an internet connection. You may use the application offline, and doing so does not change how data is handled or stored.


Offline operation further ensures that no data is transmitted externally.

  1. Intended Use and Professional Responsibility

SessionWise is a documentation support tool. It does not interpret data, provide clinical advice, make diagnoses, or generate treatment decisions. Responsibility for the accuracy, appropriateness, and use of documentation remains with the clinician.


This Privacy Statement does not replace professional obligations under applicable privacy, confidentiality, or record-keeping laws and regulations.

If this Privacy Statement is updated, the revised version will be made available on the SessionWise website. Changes will reflect updates to the software or clarifications of existing practices and will not retroactively alter how data has been handled.
